About
Education, interests and experience -
Vanessa has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and over ten years training and experience in the assessment, prevention, and treatment of a wide variety of personal and mental health issues. Vanessa has a particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders, women’s wellness and perinatal mental health.

Therapies I use -
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a widely used evidence-based psychotherapy which attempts to improve how you are feeling (e.g. improve your mood or reduce anxiety) by recognising and reshaping unhelpful patterns in thinking or behaviour.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a widely used, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that encourages individuals to embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than resisting them or judging them. It focuses on accepting what is out of one's personal control while committing to action that enriches life. ACT promotes mindfulness and helps individuals clarify their values, ensuring that their actions align with the life they want for themselves.

~ Vanessa also incorporates her knowledge of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy where appropriate.
